Alissa Hauser

Alissa is a long-time nonprofit executive and currently serves as the Executive Director of The Pollination Project, a not for profit organization that supports community change makers. In 2007 Alissa co-founded The Engage Network, and from 2007-2012 she served as co-Executive Director. During her time at Engage, Alissa led or advised on complex engagement projects for groups like Habitat for Humanity International, Slow Food USA, Roots of Change, Green for All, Off the Mat Into the World and the Flawless Foundation. Michael Silberman

Michael is the Global Director of the Digital Mobilisation Lab at Greenpeace. Mobilisation Lab works with Greenpeace and its allies in 42 countries to envision, test, and roll out creative new means of communicating, organizing, and fundraising online.

A senior online campaigns strategist,Michael also specializes in online organizing and grassroots citizen engagement. He is a frequent writer and speaker on the effective use of technology for converting online activity into real-world action. Read more…

Van Jones

Van Jones is a globally recognized, award-winning pioneer in human rights and the clean-energy economy. A Yale-educated attorney, Van has written two New York Times Best Sellers: The Green Collar Economy, the definitive book on green jobs, and Rebuild the Dream, a roadmap for progressives in 2012 and beyond. Van is currently a CNN Contributor. In 2009, Van worked as the green jobs advisor to the Obama White House. Allen Gunn

Allen is the Executive Director of Aspiration Technology and an executive with over twenty years of software development and capacity building expertise. Allen works to help NGOs, activists, foundations and software developers make more effective use of technology for social change. He has worked in numerous technology environments from NGO to Silicon Valley start-up to college faculty to large corporation, serving in senior management, engineering, teaching and volunteer roles. Julia Butterfly Hill

Julia Butterfly Hill brought international attention to the plight of the world’s last remaining ancient forests when, in 1997, she climbed 180 feet up a 1000 year-old Redwood tree and refused to come down. She is author of the national best seller The Legacy of Luna and One Makes The Difference, both published by HarperSanFrancisco. Rob McKay

Rob is the Chairman of the Democracy Alliance, a donor collective of major progressive political donors working to increase grassroots participation in progressive issues and to create a long-term progressive voter base. Ori is the co-author of The Starfish and the Spider: the Unstoppable Power of Leaderless Organizations(Portfolio, 2006). Ori has been a lifelong entrepreneur in business, government, and the nonprofit sector. His projects include launching healthy fast food restaurants, leading political and advocacy campaigns, and co-founding Courtroom Connect, a wireless network company.
