The Engage Network has spent time building two substantial networks that help expand the work of social change to specific demographics. In 2011, Engage is focusing on mapping and building the local food and food justice movement.
In these efforts, Engage focuses on:
- Taking people who are on email lists and creating programs for them to become leaders;
- Helping people build pathways for those who are taking their first steps of engagement
- Designing programs for people who have 1 to 10 hours a month that keep them involved
- Building a larger network to connect leaders across the country and across the world in a deep way to each other
- Innovating grassroots fundraising programs that support the network
